How do I book a vacation rental with New River Getaways?

Accepted Answer

Browse our available vacation rentals, choose your home, travel dates, and number of guests, and book your stay directly through the New River Getaways website. Each property page includes photos, amenities, sleeping arrangements, policies, availability, and pricing so you can find the right getaway in the New River Valley and Southwest Virginia.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Accepted Answer

Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out may be available for $20, subject to availability and the property's reservation schedule. Guests receive self check-in instructions before arrival for an easy start to their stay.

Are New River Getaways vacation rentals pet-friendly?

Accepted Answer

Some New River Getaways properties are dog-friendly. At participating homes, the pet fee is $50 per dog, per stay, with a maximum of two dogs. Our pet-friendly vacation rentals also provide thoughtful extras such as waste bags, food and water bowls, dog beds, and treats. Please check the individual property listing before booking, as not every home allows pets.

What amenities are included with my vacation rental?

Accepted Answer

Amenities vary by property, so we recommend reviewing the individual home before booking. Depending on the getaway, amenities may include WiFi, equipped kitchens, linens, grills, fire pits, game spaces, private docks, river or lake access, porches, saunas, jet tubs, and other property-specific features. We do provide a welcome basket of snacks, coffee & tea, and toiletry items in all of our homes.

How much do I pay when I book my stay?

Accepted Answer

For direct bookings with New River Getaways, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. The remaining 50% is due 14 days before arrival. This allows you to reserve your Southwest Virginia getaway without paying the full balance upfront.
